THIS IS US
THIS IS OUR STORY
We weren't always farmers, in fact we were completely the opposite as we knew nothing about growing food. All we did know was that we bought an amazing piece of property and we were determined to make it shine not only in our eyes but to everyone who visits. We planted a vegetable garden the first year we bought our land which was once just a stump farm. We were so excited to see everything grow and amazed by how flavorful it tasted and 10 years later we still share that excitement.
Growing our own food opened our eyes to so many more things, the most important one being our health. We both grew up eating processed food, everything seemed to be in a box or a can and we didn't take the time to understand or value what we put in our bodies. Now the choice is easy for us, we understand and feel the health that is in the food we grow and we love being able to offer that to our friends, family and community.
Living in such a beautiful place, surrounded by trees and mountains made us realize how grateful we are. Our vows to each other were that our life together would have the same seasons and needs as this magical land. There would be growth like spring and loss like fall, there is giving as the blossoming flower and rest as the seed beneath the snow. Now we eat healthy, live right, laugh lots and care deeply for the life we have together and nurture it with the utmost love and respect.
As we continue on our path to share the food we grow we want to now share the bigger picture and allow people to see why we choose to live where we do surrounded by so many amazing places and why we love doing what we are doing. We decided to hang up our farm hats temporarily and become builders in early and late 2018 when our farm did not demand so much of our attention. After some serious determination and fishing withdrawals in our slower seasons, we worked hard to take on the task to build our new barn and harvest area which has two amazing rental suites above that will be ready to enjoy in June 2019.
Sincerely,
